E-services and websites in Egypt are broadening their horizons. In May, the Egyptian government began registering domain names with the new .misr web address, written in Arabic from left to right. This bold move offers users Arabic web addresses and opens cyberspace to Arabic speakers within and beyond Egypt, increasing access for this huge demographic across the globe.
