Zeeshan Sahil was one of Karachi’s most luminous poets. His heart was filled with love for his home city and his love and poetry, all poured delicately and deeply into his 1995 anthology Karachi aur doosri nazme, The poets potent Urdu testament is an homage to his beloved Karachi in the nineties, a time of turmoil that saw his city ripped to shreds. While the poet has sadly passed on, his love remains in this beautiful anthology that breathes the life, hustle, bustle and vibrancy of Karachi into every line.
