Young UAE film director Hanan Al Muhairi is one to watch. Her first feature documentary “Arabyana” charters the highs and lows of women trying to make it in the equestrian field. The film, which premiered in 2009 earned this talented young visionary woman sponsorship from the UN Ambassador of good will. It also attracted attention and support from the UAE’s Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein. Hanan has been passionate about horses since she was a young girl, and first entered the limelight in 2005 when she won a photography competition with her stills from an endurance race at Seeh Al Salem in her native UAE.
