Noor is a Turkish soap opera that proved such a hit when MBC dubbed into Arabic and exported it to the Middle East, that it’s been the kiss of life for Arab housewives and the kiss of death for Arab marriages. Turkey’s steamy series focuses on Muhannad and Noor, a couple whose marriage was decided by their families and whose love is a seed both partners must nurture. Muhannad, who is played by Turkish actor Kivanç Tatlitug is somewhat easy on the eye and has become quite the pin-up for Arab ladies. Marriage councillors in the Middle East must be having a field day!
