External marriage brokering agencies are becoming a popular choice for young Jordanians who want to enlist a little assistance in finding love. The Covenant Marriage Agency in Irbid, is one such enterprise, founded by Nima Marusha a Jordanian woman who helped friends and acquaintances find love, to such a successful degree that she decided to make matchmaking her business.

House prices in parts of Amman have more than doubled and many young Jordanians are having to bide their time and put their hopes of marriage on the back burner.
