Launched by its founder to overcome the taboos and stigmas associated with open sexuality in Pakistan and the surrounding region, Chay has become a forum where Pakistani and international internauts can see and be seen and openly air their views on love, sex and sensuality. Thinking with our Hearts and with our Heads: The Great Pakistani Love Debate

Everyone’s talking about love these days. Students at the prestigious Lahore University of Management Science in Pakistan, went a step further and launched an online debate about matters of the heart. It all started when an anonymous female Pakistani student posted her thoughts about the open canoodling that was driving her to distraction on campus. The university’s predominantly Pakistani Muslim students then began to talk it all over among themselves: Should love be discrete or open? Are our university years the time to learn from books or learn about love and life in every sphere?
