Uzbek girls’ fashion is coming up in the world. The days where “Made in Turkey” enabled vendors to push up prices and the choice of clothing for girls and women was limited may be numbered. Uzbek girls used to have to cross to neighbouring countries to shop if they wanted something unique, or trendy. Over the last couple of years Style-Uz, a prestigious weekly fashion event has been bringing Uzbek fashion up a notch and showcasing it to the world. Crowds gather to watch fashion shows and cheer on international celebrity performances in the name of putting Tashkent on the map and on the label.
