Dating in Afghanistan may be difficult, but it isn’t impossible. It does, however take a unique form, and happens in a discrete, respectful but nonetheless romantic way if you’re one of a growing group of young Afghans from Kabul who get together every Friday and head out to a lake to hang out, chat, and yes, even date members of the opposite sex. This collective of progressive young Afghans insist that they are bothering nobody by getting together to relax, and in turn... nobody appears to be bothering them.
