I’ll Have Some of What She’s Drinking…
Wok Kunder has some energy, I’ll certainly grant her that. And a tenacity for shattering macho stereotypes. Happily married to her 22nd husband for four years, this 107 year old Malaysian woman has a hearty appetite for marriage, but like any wedded wife, now that her spouse, who’s 70 years her junior, is off on a drug rehab programme, she’s feeling slightly antsy. Not one for sitting back and taking it, Wok has already lined up candidate number 23 in case its “adieu” to number 22. According to CNN, she’s tenuously set her sights on a 50 year old but hopes it won’t come to that.
For Better or For Worse?
Wok and her current husband, Mohammed Boor Che Musa, met in the village in which they were both born and still live. Both practising Muslims, Muhammad, 37, was quoted in an earlier report as saying the couple fell for each other because it was “God’s will.”
So what’s Wok got a bee in her bonnet about?
Apparently, she’s been feeling a bit insecure and worries he’ll find some other lady who’s younger than her and vamoose.
But wait a minute: he’s on a drug rehab programme, right?
And besides, according to CNN, he told The Star that he is still very much in love with his wife and cannot dream of life with someone else.
Who needs reality TV if you live in the same village as these two?
Law of Averages?
So, pausing a minute to do the arithmetic – If Wok married husband number 1 at the tender age of 19, and is now on number 22, her average marriage lasts 4 years. Not bad I suppose, I mean, that’s how long my warranty on my computer is good for.
Which brings me around to the question of logistics. I mean, did they all get married at the same place? Did the guests have to buy new gifts each time? I guess that’s where Ebay comes in real handy:
