Whatever you do, chaps – never forget that chivalry maketh man and be a gentleman! Hold open doors, pay the bill and wait to be invited before gently taking a hand or offering a kiss.

Hyatt in Kolkata is the hot tip if you want to whisk your Bengali girl off for a romantic dinner – the candle-lit swimming pool will add the perfect touch to any romantic evening. Again, if you’re looking for a more economical option, you could try the Roxy at The Park. With its soothing music and trendy décor serves as the perfect place for you and your Bengali sweetheart to get to know each other better
